(Not just a GIP, really.)
Because interpretations of primal/paleo eating and exercise can vary widely (e.g. on issues like dairy, saturated fats, supplements, or even The Great Canola Oil Controversy), I thought it might be useful/interesting to see where we're all starting from.
What books (or websites, or blogs, or podcasts) shape your ideas about how to eat and exercise?
I'm currently experimenting with ideas from Loren Cordain's The Paleo Diet for Athletes (which includes using high-GI foods to refuel glycogen after lengthy strenuous exercise -- I found out the hard way that with my individual metabolism, rock climbing kills me otherwise). And I will cheerfully cite The Primal Blueprint if it lets me eat yoghurt.
Where are you guys starting from?
